March 4, 2013 - Recently, the Mariners' Blue Dolphin was declared Over-all Champion in the concluded Loveres Cup - An Inter Commercial Basketball Tournament held at Daraga, Albay last January 2013. They also won their previous games, shown in the team's scoreboard. However, they technically didn't win during their latest game against the Bicol Champion Naga Colleges Foundation. It was an exhibition game at the 39th Foundation Day of Mariners' Naga/Canaman, held March 4, 2013 at Mariners' Canaman. The opposing teams gave the audience an enjoyable game, a clean fight with great sportsmanship. Naga Colleges Foundation won by six points yet, the Blue Dolphins was still considered the champion in the hearts of the Marineros for fighting a good fight.
